Housecall Pro pricing is published, which is more than some field service software offers. This guide breaks down what each Housecall Pro plan costs, how many users it includes, what you get at each tier, and what you'll pay on top in payment fees. All figures come from Housecall Pro's own pricing page as it read on October 1, 2026.
Prices change, and on the day we checked the page also showed introductory sign-up discounts, so confirm the current numbers on the pricing page before you buy.
Housecall Pro pricing at a glance
| Plan | Billed annually | Billed monthly | Users included |
|---|---|---|---|
| Basic | $59/mo | $79/mo | 1 |
| Essentials | $149/mo | $189/mo | 5 |
| MAX | $299/mo | $329/mo | 8 (extra users $35/mo each) |
Prices are in USD and exclude sales tax. Paying annually saves $20 a month on Basic, $40 on Essentials and $30 on MAX compared with monthly billing. The pricing page lists an extra-user price only for MAX.
Basic: for owner-operators
Basic is built for getting started: one user and the core tools to run jobs from quote to payment.
- Online booking that customers can use from Google or your website
- Scheduling and dispatching
- Estimates and invoicing
- Payments and consumer financing
- Price book
- Job costing
- Review management
If you're a one-truck shop that mainly needs to schedule work, send quotes and get paid on the spot, Basic covers it.
Essentials: for small crews
Essentials includes five users and everything in Basic, plus tools that matter once you're running more than one tech:
- Routes to group and sequence the day's jobs
- Flat-rate pricing with your margins built in
- Checklist automations for consistent job steps
- Photo reports with annotations
- Employee GPS tracking through techs' phones (no hardware)
- Commissions by item, service or job type
- QuickBooks Online sync
For a team of two to five users, Essentials is usually the plan to compare against. In our view, flat-rate pricing and QuickBooks sync are the features most likely to justify the upgrade from Basic.
MAX: for scaling businesses
MAX includes eight users, with additional users at $35 a month each, and adds:
- A sales proposal tool (Housecall Pro values it at $40 a month)
- Recurring service plans for maintenance agreements
- One-click route optimization using real drive times and live traffic
- Open API access, plus Zapier
- A dedicated onboarding specialist
- Escalated phone support
Recurring service plans are the standout for HVAC and plumbing companies that sell maintenance agreements. If memberships are part of your business model, factor that in when comparing Essentials and MAX.
What every plan includes
Housecall Pro lists these on all plans:
- Live phone and chat support
- Mobile app for iOS and Android, available in English and Spanish
- Offline viewing
- Access to business and consumer financing
- AI tools to automate parts of your work
What Housecall Pro actually costs per year
The subscription is easiest to compare as a yearly cost. Using the listed prices:
| Plan | Per year, billed annually | Per year, billed monthly |
|---|---|---|
| Basic | $708 | $948 |
| Essentials | $1,788 | $2,268 |
| MAX | $3,588 | $3,948 |
A ten-user team on MAX would add two extra users at $35 a month each, or $840 a year on top. These figures leave out payment processing and any add-ons.
Payment processing and other Housecall Pro costs
The subscription isn't the only cost. Housecall Pro lists:
- Card payments: processing rates starting at 2.59%
- Bank payments: a 1% fee
- Check deposits through the mobile app: no fee
On a business that takes $30,000 a month by card, 2.59% is about $777 a month, more than the MAX subscription. Compare processing rates as carefully as plan prices.
Housecall Pro also lists optional add-ons such as an AI call-answering agent, payroll, accounting services, vehicle GPS and dashcams, and managed websites. Their prices aren't on the main pricing page, so ask for a quote if you need them.
Free trial and contract terms
- Free trial: 14 days with full access to the MAX plan, no credit card required.
- No long-term contract. You can upgrade at any time; downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period.
Because the trial runs on MAX, plan your test around the features you'd actually pay for. If you expect to buy Basic, don't build your workflow around route optimization or service plans during the trial.
Which Housecall Pro plan should you choose?
- Solo operator: Basic. It covers booking, scheduling, quotes, invoicing and payments for one user.
- Two to five users: Essentials. Five users are included, plus routing, flat-rate pricing, GPS and QuickBooks sync.
- Six or more users, or selling maintenance plans: MAX. Eight users, recurring service plans, route optimization and API access.
