A field service management app replaces the whiteboard, the paper invoices and the group text. Customers book, the office schedules and dispatches, techs see their jobs on their phones, and invoices go out and get paid from the job site. The hard part is choosing one: pricing models vary widely, and the right field service app for a three-tech HVAC shop is not the right one for a solo cleaner.
This comparison covers seven field service management apps, including field service management software for small business owners with one truck or twenty, with prices from each vendor's own pricing page on October 1, 2026. We compare published plans and prices; we haven't run each app in a live business.

Housecall Pro: a strong all-round option for small crews
Housecall Pro covers online booking, scheduling and dispatch, estimates, invoicing, payments and review requests from its Basic plan, so even the entry plan handles the full path from booking to payment.
- Basic: $59/mo billed annually ($79 monthly), 1 user
- Essentials: $149/mo ($189 monthly), 5 users, adds routing, flat-rate pricing, GPS tracking of techs' phones and QuickBooks Online sync
- MAX: $299/mo ($329 monthly), 8 users ($35 per extra user), adds recurring service plans, route optimization and API access
Card processing starts at 2.59%. There's a 14-day free trial and no long-term contract. Full details: Housecall Pro pricing and Housecall Pro review.
GorillaDesk: best for route-based work
GorillaDesk prices by the number of routes rather than by user. Anyone can have access for free; only users assigned to a schedule (a route) need a paid seat. For one route:
- Basic: $49/mo ($539/year)
- Pro: $99/mo ($1,089/year), adds a customer portal, online booking, open API and time clocking
- Growth: $149/mo ($1,639/year), adds map-based estimation tools, custom job statuses and multi-branch support
There are no setup fees or contracts, and data migration is free. Texting costs extra: $5 a month plus SMS credits (for example, $50 for 1,000 messages). Route-based pricing suits recurring-route trades like pest control, lawn care and pool service, where a crew leader holds the route.
Kickserv: low price for small teams
Kickserv's plans are sized by team. Prices below are billed annually, with monthly billing in brackets:
- Start: $60/mo ($75 monthly), 5 users: contact form, automated email and text reminders, 20+ reports, time and expense tracking, QuickBooks Online integration
- Run: $119/mo ($149 monthly), 10 users: adds dispatch mapping, GPS check-ins, custom fields and reports (QuickBooks Desktop integration is $50/mo extra)
- Scale: $199/mo ($249 monthly), 20 users: adds custom templates and reviews
There's a 30-day free trial. Kickserv also offers "Kickback", an optional 5% discount on your subscription if you process at least $1,000, $2,000 or $3,000 a month (by plan) in online payments through Kickserv.
Tradify: per-user pricing for trades
Tradify charges per user per month, in USD:
- Lite: $47, with job management, scheduling with Google Calendar sync, quotes, invoices, online payments and Xero or QuickBooks Online sync
- Pro: $51, adds bill tracking, timesheets and subcontractor scheduling, among other features
- Plus: $61, adds purchase orders, kit bundles for quoting, staff activity history, job service reports and reporting
Per-user pricing is economical for one or two people and adds up quickly with a larger team. An instant website add-on is $12 a month.
Service Fusion: unlimited users
Every Service Fusion plan includes unlimited users, which changes the math for larger crews:
- Starter: $208/mo billed annually ($245 monthly): customer management, estimates and jobs, scheduling and dispatching, integrated payments, QuickBooks integration, invoicing and text alerts
- Plus: $325/mo ($382 monthly): adds job photos, inventory management, job costing and integrated voice and text
- Pro: $533/mo ($627 monthly): adds open API, custom documents, eSign, a customer web portal, and progress billing and recurring invoicing
Annual billing saves 15% and is charged as one payment at sign-up. GPS fleet tracking and ServiceCall.ai are add-ons.
Workiz: pricing on request
Workiz lists three plans without prices. Standard covers scheduling, jobs, estimates, invoices, online payments and five automations; Pro adds performance pay, ten automations, lead and scheduling tools and custom reports; Ultimate adds service plans, 30 automations, sales proposals, inventory, flat-rate pricing and checklists. Its Genius Phone system is sold separately. You'll need a demo to get a number.
ServiceTitan: per-technician pricing
ServiceTitan prices per technician across three packages (Starter, Essentials, The Works) and quotes on request. In our view it fits companies with office staff and several techs best. See our ServiceTitan pricing guide.
How to choose a field service management app
- Count users honestly. Include office staff. At five or more users, compare per-user totals against plans with many or unlimited users.
- Check where must-have features start. Recurring service plans, QuickBooks sync, flat-rate pricing and GPS often sit on higher tiers.
- Compare billing terms. Some listed prices are annual; check what you'd pay month to month.
- Add processing fees. On card-heavy businesses, the processing rate can cost more than the subscription.
- Test with real jobs. Use the free trial to book, dispatch, invoice and collect on a week of actual work, with your techs using the mobile app.
