This FieldPulse review covers what the software does, how its pricing works, who it fits and where it falls short. FieldPulse is field service management software for trade contractors: HVAC, electrical, plumbing and about ten other service trades, from garage doors and locksmiths to septic. It runs the work from booking and dispatch through estimates, invoices, payments and maintenance agreements. The company was founded in 2015 and is based in Dallas, Texas.
The review is based on FieldPulse's own pricing, feature and help pages as of October 22, 2026. We haven't run FieldPulse in a live business, so this is an assessment of what it offers and how it sells, not a hands-on test.
FieldPulse review: verdict in brief
FieldPulse is a full-featured platform for service contractors who run maintenance agreements, carry inventory on trucks and want QuickBooks to stay in sync. Its main drawback for a small business is how you buy it: there are no published prices and no free trial. You buy seats upfront for a contract term after a sales demo.
Good fit: HVAC, electrical and plumbing companies with roughly 5 to 100 people (FieldPulse says most of its customers fall in that range). It suits companies that sell service agreements, track stock across trucks and warehouses, and want custom quotes rather than fixed plans.
Think twice: owner-operators who want to try software on a few real jobs before paying, or anyone who wants a month-to-month plan they can cancel at any time. Tools with published plans and free trials are easier to test.
What FieldPulse does
- Scheduling and dispatch. A drag-and-drop calendar with views by team and alerts for scheduling conflicts. You can see where technicians are by GPS, and customers get updates as the tech heads their way.
- Estimates and invoices. Pricebook items and add-ons on estimates, one-click conversion from estimate to invoice, and automated payment reminders.
- Payments. Card, ACH and mobile wallet payments, payment links, and Tap to Pay on iPhone with no extra hardware. FieldPulse Payments is an add-on with transaction fees.
- Maintenance agreements. Agreement templates with several services per agreement. Visits are created automatically and renewal reminders go out on time. You can service twice a year and bill monthly, with invoices syncing to QuickBooks Online.
- Inventory. Stock across trucks, warehouses and job sites, with low-stock alerts, purchase orders to your suppliers, serial-number tracking and barcode scanning in the app.
- Customer and booking portals. Customers can see job status and arrival windows, download estimates and invoices and pay online. A booking portal embeds on your website.
- Job costing and reporting. Estimated vs. actual margins on labor, materials and overhead, plus dashboards for technician performance and profitability.
- Mobile app with offline mode. Techs can keep working on jobs, estimates, invoices, timesheets and forms without a signal.
- Roles and permissions. For example, a Subcontractor role that can't see financial information.
FieldPulse pricing
FieldPulse doesn't list plans or prices. Its pricing page says it is "seat-based and pricing is built around what your team needs," and offers a custom quote after a call. Here is how it describes the model:
- Seats are bought upfront for a contract term. The rate depends on what each seat needs access to. Employees who don't need every feature cost less a month than office staff and managers. The length of the contract term isn't published.
- You can add seats as the team grows.
- Add-ons are priced separately:
| Add-on | How FieldPulse prices it |
|---|---|
| Pricebook | Flat fee per month |
| Custom Forms | Flat fee per month |
| Engage (VoIP phones) | Per line and license |
| Operator AI (AI voice agent) | Usage-based |
| Chat AI | Usage-based |
| Dynamic Proposals | Ask |
| FieldPulse Payments | Transaction fees |
| Fleet Tracking | Per vehicle or device; rates depend on hardware |
- No free trial. FieldPulse offers a free personalized demo instead.
- No hidden fees, it says. Seat count, seat rates and premium products are laid out before you sign. The site doesn't say whether onboarding costs extra, so ask.
FieldPulse also warns that prices published on third-party sites aren't verified by it. That's why we don't quote any here. Before the demo, write down how many office users, technicians and subcontractors you have, and which add-ons you actually need. Then ask for the quote in writing, broken down by seat type.
Integrations

Mobile app ratings
The FieldPulse app is free to download for users. On October 22, 2026 it was rated 4.0 out of 5 from 117 ratings on the Apple App Store, and 3.0 from 75 reviews on Google Play. Both are small samples, but it's worth reading recent reviews from technicians in your trade before you sign.
Support
Support is available by email at any time, and by phone and live chat Monday to Friday, 7 AM to 6 PM Central. There's also a monthly live training series and a Facebook user group. FieldPulse says a customer success team handles implementation.
Pros
- Strong for service agreements. Automatic visits, renewal reminders and monthly billing that syncs with QuickBooks Online.
- Real inventory tools. Stock by truck and warehouse, purchase orders and barcode scanning, which many small-business apps lack.
- Offline mobile app for basements, crawl spaces and rural jobs.
- Lower-priced seats for employees who don't need every feature.
- Supplier and accounting integrations suited to HVAC, plumbing and electrical shops, plus an open API.
Cons
- No published prices. You can't compare cost until after a sales call.
- No free trial. You see the product in a demo, not on your own jobs.
- Upfront seats on a contract term. That's less flexible than the month-to-month plans many competitors offer, and the term length isn't published.
- Many features are paid add-ons. Pricebook, custom forms, phones, AI answering and fleet tracking add to the base cost.
- Mixed app store ratings, especially on Android.
FieldPulse alternatives
If you'd rather see prices and test the software first:
- Housecall Pro publishes three plans from $59 a month billed annually and has a 14-day free trial. See our Housecall Pro review.
- Kickserv, Tradify and GorillaDesk also publish prices.
- Service Fusion publishes prices and includes unlimited users on every plan, but like FieldPulse it offers a demo rather than a free trial. See our Service Fusion review.
- ServiceTitan and Workiz quote on request, like FieldPulse, and are usually compared against it. See our ServiceTitan pricing guide.
We compare all of these side by side in our field service management app comparison, with trade roundups for HVAC and plumbing.
If you book a FieldPulse demo, bring a real job: a maintenance visit with parts from a truck, an estimate with add-on options, and an invoice synced to QuickBooks. Ask to see each step on the mobile app, not just the office screen.
